Mother Cat Begs Her Rescuers To Let Her Go, Then Returns With The Sweetest Surprise
Most cats settle in quickly after being rescued, but not this brave and determined mother.
This mother cat, along with two of her babies, was rescued by kind-hearted people. But unlike most cats, she couldn’t relax, as she knew something no one else did.
She had more kittens, but only two had been found with her during the rescue. The frantic mother cat desperately pleaded with her rescuer to let her go back outside to find her other babies.
The rescuer was confused at first, unsure of what the cat wanted, but she was the only one who knew the rest of her litter was still out there.
Driven by her determination, the rescuer reluctantly agreed to let her out. Once outside, the cat immediately ran to the carport where they had first found her.
She then went inside, returned with a tiny kitten in her mouth, and repeated this until all five of her remaining kittens were safely retrieved.
After the mother cat saved all of her babies, her rescuer immediately contacted a local rescue. Thankfully, they were more than happy to help this furry family.
Some of the kittens were badly injured and needed immediate medical care. One of them had lost part of his leg.
What made it worse was that the kitten’s leg was infected. Thanks to the rescue, his foster family was able to properly treat the infection, including using a special liquid to promote healing.
Despite his injuries, the kitten showed incredible strength, remaining just as happy as his siblings. He was given the fitting name “Long John Silver.”
Once all the kittens were rescued and safe, the mother cat finally relaxed, enjoying her time with her babies.
The mother cat, named Sassie, is the true hero of this story. She would do anything for her babies, and her determination and care paid off. This heartwarming story is proof of how powerful a mother’s love is.
