Seattle Rescuers Find A Bengal Kitten In A Box, Then Realize Why He Was Abandoned

Lost and scared on the bustling streets of Seattle, six-week-old Simba waited desperately for someone to save him.

This sweet Bengal kitten had been left behind in a cardboard box, right in the middle of one of the city’s busiest roads.

Thankfully, some kindhearted people spotted Simba and reached out to the Tacoma Humane Society, who rushed to help the tiny kitten.

Once he arrived at the shelter, it didn’t take long for staff to understand why he had likely been abandoned in the first place.

It was likely that Simba had been discarded by his breeder, who saw no profit in keeping him.

The little kitten was suffering from a rare condition known as bilateral perineal hernia, which left him unable to defecate without assistance.

Fortunately, the shelter had the support of Cindy, a foster mom experienced in caring for cats and kittens with special needs.

Without a moment’s hesitation, she welcomed Simba into her home and committed herself to guiding him through his recovery journey.

Simba’s condition was critical, and surgery became his only chance at survival. Thanks to generous donations and Cindy’s dedication, he was able to undergo the life-saving procedure.

Afterward, his skin turned red and inflamed, leaving him clearly uncomfortable. Yet through it all, Simba kept fighting bravely, with his foster mom by his side every step of the way.

Although the surgery improved Simba’s condition, it didn’t completely cure it, so he still depends on Cindy’s daily care and support.

Naturally, parting with him proved impossible, and Simba became what’s lovingly known as a “foster fail.” 

Cindy officially adopted him, giving him not only a forever mom but also a cat brother to share his life with.

Simba is now living life to the fullest, spending his days either playing with his brother Keanu or curling up in Cindy’s arms.

Though his recovery is ongoing and he still requires regular medical care, none of it keeps him from being a cheerful, content little cat.
