Friendly Cats From California Adopt A Helpless Pup And Now He Behaves Like He’s One Of Them

Many people believe cats are independent and even a little selfish, but I’m sure most cat parents would disagree.
Just like people, every cat has a unique personality – some are outgoing and affectionate, while others are more reserved.
Still, this video is proof that cats can be deeply caring and capable of offering incredible support.
Haley Waugh, a foster mom and coordinator at Front Street Animals rescue center, shared a touching story about her foster cats who welcomed a helpless puppy into their little group and helped him discover joy again.

Haley explained that while she sometimes fosters dogs or puppies who get along with her cats, she had never witnessed a bond quite like this one.
A tiny puppy, only a few days old, had been brought to the rescue without any trace of his mother or background.
Not knowing his story, Haley still welcomed him in and began bottle-feeding him, giving him the strength and care he needed to survive.
What About Her Cats, How Did They React?

Surprisingly, her feline company immediately showed their friendly sides and accepted the helpless pup, named Osito, into their gang as one of their own.
Luckily, it turned out that Osito also liked the cats more than anything. Haley says in the video:
“As he grew, he just became more and more friendly with them and as he starts to play he’s right there bouncing next to the cats.”
She added:
“I first started noticing when he would knead on the blanket.”

Osito loved to play with cats and their toys and would always mimic his friendly cats. If you just take a look at this video, you can immediately see that this puppy wasn’t raised by dogs.
Obviously, he behaves more like a cat, and I think it’s adorable. It seems as though he felt more comfortable in the company of cats rather than dogs.

He would always play with cats and their toys. Most of all, he would prefer lying in the cat bed next to them. Haley said:
“If they don’t like dogs, they’ll usually hiss and swat at them, and they didn’t do that with him. They totally let him play with them and hang out with them.”
This sweet story unfolded over three months, and it couldn’t have ended in a better way. Little Osito was adopted, and the joy was even greater because his new family already had two of Haley’s former foster cats.

That meant he wouldn’t just have a loving home, but also the chance to keep his furry companions by his side and spend his days playing with them.
It’s hard to imagine a more perfect outcome for Osito, and thanks to Haley’s dedication, his journey found the happiest of endings.
