The life of stray cats and kittens is far from easy, especially during winter’s harsh, cold days.
With not much to eat and no safe haven from bad weather, these little felines face tremendous challenges. But the story of one tiny, freezing kitten who never stopped calling for help is about to warm your heart.
One fateful day, a devoted cat lover from Stray Paws noticed a tiny kitten wandering around the trash bins.
This poor creature was not just searching for food, but also desperately seeking refuge from the biting cold. The kitten shivered in the harsh weather with no shelter in sight.
While stray cats develop thicker winter coats, providing some warmth, the cold can still be deadly, especially for young kittens who are vulnerable to freezing.
Sadly, there have been numerous cases of freezing cats, with some saved just in the nick of time. One such cat was in such a dire state that the thermometer couldn’t even register her body temperature.
Because of that, this poor kitten was in desperate need of help, meowing loudly, hoping someone would offer him a helping hand.
Once the kitten saw his rescuer, he started meowing louder and louder. The kitten instantly took the chance, climbed on the rescue’s leg, and hugged him by his neck.
The rescuer placed the freezing kitten inside his coat, offering some warmth, and started looking for a mother cat. Unfortunately, she was nowhere to be found.
At that moment, everything was already decided; the kitten was safely rescued from the cold streets and off to his new permanent home.
On their way home, something both heartwarming and heartbreaking occurred…
The exhausted kitten, now safe in his rescuer’s arms, fell asleep inside the coat. He finally felt secure and could rest after who knows how long.
Thankfully, the kitten’s rescuer from Stray Paws is very experienced, so he knew which steps to take upon arriving home.
His priority was to gently warm the kitten before providing him with some nourishment. This order was crucial, as kittens can’t digest food when they’re cold, which could lead to stomach issues like diarrhea.
Once the kitten’s belly was full, his purring motor kicked in, signaling his readiness for some well-deserved rest.
The rescuer from Stray Paws is known for rescuing tiny, helpless kittens, fostering and caring for them until they find their forever homes.

One compassionate cat lover even built a cat ladder to welcome stray cats into her home when they’re cold.
Also, don’t forget to leave food and water near the shelter, ensuring they have everything they need in one place. Your kindness can make a world of difference for these furry friends.
