Minnesota Rescuers Freeze In Shock After Finding Over 40 Cats Trapped In A Car During Heat

It all began when a concerned citizen contacted the Chisago Sheriff’s Office to report a car packed with cats in a parking lot in Harris, Minnesota.

Fortunately, the owner cooperated, knowing that AHS could give the cats the medical attention they needed and the chance to be placed in safe, loving homes.
The rescued cats ranged in age from just a year old to senior companions, and despite the harsh conditions they had been living in, the AHS veterinary team thankfully found no major health concerns.
Many of the cats were placed with trusted rescue partners who regularly collaborate with AHS, while the rest were brought to the shelter to continue their journey toward safe and loving homes.
After such a difficult beginning, a happy ending couldn’t be more welcome. Thankfully, every single cat taken in by the Animal Humane Society was placed in a forever home.
