This Cat Can’t Bear To Be Alone After He Was Abandoned On The Street When His Owner Was Evicted

Sharing is caring!

Venture, a cute 10-month-old tabby cat, had a tough time when his owner had to leave their home. He was left all alone and forgotten, which made him really sad.

No one knows exactly why Venture’s owner had to leave, but what we do know is that animals often suffer in these situations.

Luckily, Little Wanderers NYC came to the rescue and made sure Venture didn’t have to live on the harsh streets.

Nora, one of their rescuers was moved by Venture’s situation, so she quickly brought him to safety and let him stay with her for the night.

After spending some time with Venture, she learned something new about him. He wouldn’t eat unless someone was with him. As she shared for Love Meow:

“He only wanted to eat when someone was there with him. He wanted to be a little velcro baby, sticking with you wherever you went. On his first night, Venture just curled up and slept on me.”

Little Wanderers NYC mainly focuses on helping sick and injured cats, but Venture’s friendly nature and inability to thrive in a shelter made him a special case. Surprisingly, he also got along well with other friendly cats and easily made friends.

Then, just when everything seemed gloomy, Michelle, a foster parent with lots of experience, appeared. She came across Venture’s profile online and instantly knew he would be a perfect addition to her home.

She already had a young male cat who loved having other friendly companions around. Michelle remembered how when they first got Venture, he was extremely malnourished and skinny. His fur was falling out in big clumps.

However, despite his initial nervousness and rough appearance, Venture’s kind and gentle nature shone through. Michelle had to spend time with him, hand-feeding him meat baby food, and treats just to get him to eat.

Luckily, Venture quickly warmed up to his new surroundings. He was so friendly that he was able to meet Michelle’s resident cat within a few days.

And by the end of the week, he had become a full-fledged member of the family, freely exploring the house.

From then on, Venture’s transformation was amazing. In just two weeks, he put on a whole pound. He is a big talker and loves getting cuddles and being picked up.

Now, Venture is thriving in his new home, surrounded by love, friendship, and the knowledge that he is truly valued. He sticks close to his human friends, following them everywhere and always ready with affectionate chirps.
