Our connection to animals, especially cats, goes back a long way. The way we see and perceive them is constantly changing and evolving. Today, there are different ways we can communicate with them.
One of these communication styles is called “intuitive,” which began about two decades ago in the US. Laila Del Monte, an animal communicator, heard about an extraordinary cat whose story touched millions of people around the world.
He never misses a visit. It has been going on for two whole years.
The cat, named Toldo, sadly lost his owner, and ever since, he has been visiting his grave every single day.
Rain or shine, Toldo is at the graveyard, never missing a visit. Sometimes, he even goes a few times a day. It’s heartbreaking, but it also shows just how strong the bond between pets and their owners can be.
What broke my heart even more was finding out that Toldo even brings presents to the grave. Sometimes, it’s a small piece of wood, twigs, or a leaf.
He usually stays by the grave, sitting or lying next to it for a while. This raises many other questions that Laila is interested in exploring. Could animals feel a whole range of emotions that we have yet to fully understand?
Are animals capable of emotions such as grief, empathy, gratitude, or even a deeper form of love? If so, maybe Toldo visits his owner’s grave to process grief or show gratitude for all the years they spent together.
These are things we still can’t be 100% certain about. What we do know is that Toldo is one loyal feline, and I hope his little heart mends soon.
There isn’t much more information about Toldo, but from what I’ve learned, it seems that neighbors and friends of his late owner are looking after him.
I truly hope he finds comfort with one of them and that his sadness will soon fade. One comment sums Toldo’s story perfectly:
“When a cat loves it’s a strong love.”
