He was growing fast, too. By six months old, he almost weighed 40 pounds and was still growing into those big ol’ paws.
At the shelter, they guessed he was a Labrador mix with some golden retriever in the family. But Alexus couldn’t stop wondering: what was he really?
So, like many curious pet parents, Alexus decided to do a DNA test. Just for fun… or so she thought.
The results? They completely took her by surprise!
But before revealing them, Alexus thought it would be fun to turn it all into a little game.
She wanted to let the TikTok community in on the mystery, so she picked up her phone, hit record, and introduced her handsome pup to the world.
In the video, she shared a few details about Kona, like his age and weight, and turned him around so everyone could get a better look at his adorable face, white-spotted belly, and those playful paws.
After showing him off, Alexus invited everyone to guess what Kona might be.

With his black coat, white patches, and those big puppy eyes, Kona didn’t exactly scream any one breed. That mystery made it all the more fun.
